Blue Quality presents Blue Kart, a software that generates customized videos with Artificial Intelligence for kartings

Blue Kart is a software that generates video automatically without human intervention thanks to the IA. It is capable of creating a fully personalized and professionally edited video without the need for any person specialized in video production.

Developed by the Galician company Blue Quality, this system offers kart drivers the possibility of having a recording of their race. That is the reason why the commercial name of the product is Blue Kart.  However, this system can also be installed in amusement parks or sports competitions where users want to take home a video souvenir of their experience.

This system not only generates the raw video but also edits it automatically.  Thanks to artificial intelligence, the software is able to choose the best shots from the recording and put together a sequence with music, text and special effects such as slow motion.

Blue Kart not only produces the video but also sends it to the user via email in a very short time. The result is a professional video with all the information of the race where the driver can relive the emotion of his competition.

The main advantage of this system is that it carries out the whole process automatically, in other words, without human intervention. For the circuit, this system generates added value to its service without the need to make a large investment, as it is automatic and immediate.

In February 2018, entrepreneurs Jose Antonio Roman and Oscar Iglesias Cochon decided to found Blue Quality. During that year they developed this innovative technology with the collaboration of research groups from the University of A Coruña and its spin off MINT, experts in artificial intelligence and image processing.

At the beginning of 2019, they carried out a first demonstration pilot at the Karting Marineda in A Coruña, owned by one of the founding partners.

At the end of the same year, they closed their first international agreement with the Belgian company SMS Timing, owner of a karting management software. This company began to market Blue Kart as a complementary service to the establishments in its portfolio. Blue Kart is now integrated with the main karting management software on the market: Apex Timing, Race Facer and Pixelcom. Today, the Blue Kart video system is already installed at the Carlos Sainz karting circuits in Madrid and Las Rozas, at the Angel Burgueño karting circuit in Madrid, at the Speed Park leisure center in Torrejon de Ardoz and at the Doos Karting indoor circuit in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), among others.

Thanks to this innovation proposal, Blue Quality has been awarded three grants that have given them the necessary impetus to develop this innovative technology. In 2020 they received the Dixitalización IG240 grant awarded by the Instituto Galego de Promoción Económica (IGAPE) and the Innovapeme grant awarded by the Axencia Galega de Innovación (GAIN) to improve the innovation plans of Galician SMEs. And finally, last November 2021 Blue Quality signed a collaboration agreement with the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) for the implementation of the project “Business Plan for automated video generation technologies” included in the framework of the Neotec programme called by the Centre for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI). The granting of this aid has been key in the development and market launch of the innovative automatic video generation product Blue Kart, developed by the company Blue Quality.
